I hope everyone had a great long weekend! I just love starting the work week knowing I already have Monday behind me. T and I had quite an eventful weekend. Friday night was spent at home with Vietnamese food from my favorite place Me Kong. Their food is so fresh, and their prices are awesome.
Saturday we got up early and headed to Clemson to tailgate. The game didn't start until 8:20, but we were so excited for football season we got there early to get a full day of tailgating in. Early afternoon was excruciatingly hot- just like any other first game of the season. Luckily late afternoon we had a quick shower that cooled everything down.
Clemson played Georgia, and after a nail-biting game WE WON! It was so exciting to be there and cheer on Clemson at one of the biggest victories they've had.
Sunday was spent recuperating from Saturday. The game ended shortly after midnight, but we didn't get back to our apartment until 3:30. It's been a long time since this girl has stayed up that late.
Monday we went to my friend Maggie's pool for the day to celebrate Labor Day. Maggie's sweet parents hosted us. We had cocktails by the pool during the day and her mom cooked an awesome dinner for all of us that night. We had this Guy Fieri lemonade cocktail, which was super refreshing. I'll be making these again before it gets too cold. I'm typically not a whiskey fan, but there was something about this drink that I loved.
T and I were also celebrating our first wedding anniversary. We celebrated a week early with our Nashville trip, but yesterday was the real day. We at wedding cake for breakfast (because calories don't count on anniversaries) and spent the rest of the day celebrating with our dearest friends. We couldn't have asked for a better way to spend our anniversary!
Happy 1st anniversary! We were at the Clemson game, too - what a long day!!
