Five On Friday

Happy Friday! Today I'm linking up with April, Darci, Natasha, and Christina for the Five on Friday linkup.  Here are my five for this week:

{one.} First and foremost the one thing that is getting me absolutely giddy on this Friday is the impending arrival of my sweet niece.  My sister April was due on Monday, and her baby girl is taking her sweet time making her debut into this world.  I just want to hold that baby in my arms!  Hoping that today or tomorrow may just be the day.  Here's a picture that came up on my Timehop today from six years ago.  It's hard to believe that April was my age in this picture, and now she's about to have a baby!

{two.} Earlier this week T and I took a stab at grilling our pizza, and it was so much easier than I anticipated.  We used these directions, and it turned out so well.  The grill gave the crust that wood-fired taste and the texture of the crust was better than any baked crust I've ever made. It was soft and airy on the inside, but crispy on the outside, just like a good Italian bread. I still need to work on the presentation of the pizza though, it looks rather sloppy in this picture.

{three.} If you live in Greenville or the Upstate area, you've probably heard of Artisphere.  It's a three day arts festival featuring visual, performing and culinary arts, and it's this weekend.   I'm embarrassed to say that I've actually never been.  Since we've been in Greenville, we've always had something planned for that weekend.  I've heard so many wonderful things about the festival, so I'm excited that I get to see what its all about tonight, provided I'm not in Charlotte awaiting the arrival of April's bebe.

{four.} T and I usually aren't big concert goers, we'd usually rather spend that money on a nice dinner out and a fun trip to Home Depot.  A few weeks ago we won tickets through T's work for the Brantley Gilbert concert.  I honestly cannot remember the last concert that I attended, so I'm really excited for it.

{five.} I tried out Murasaki for lunch the other day, and their lunch special is unbeatable.   You get  your choice of soup or salad, one 8 piece roll, and three pieces of nigiri all for $8.00.  Murasaki is our favorite sushi restaurant for dinner, but it's not cheap.  Now that I know their lunch special is so reasonable, I think I'm going to be coming back mid-day more often!

Hope y'all have a great weekend!

  1. A grilled pizza? Not sure why this is the first time I have heard of doing that. I need to try it soon!

  2. The grilled pizza looks delicious. Is there a pizza stone under there or do you grill it straight on the grill?

  3. I'm so excited that you talked about the grilled pizza. I can't wait to try it. My husband and I will be up for Artisphere this weekend. We've never been either but we thought it was be a fun reason to explore Greenville for the day.
